Cna classes in AV area?

U.S.A. California

Published

I'm a seventeen year old senior in high school and plan on attending college to be a nurse. :o I have been trying to find cna programs in my area (Antelope Valley)and haven't had really any luck. They have a program for young parents like myself but you have to be in the system or on assistance which me nor my daughter's father are on. He found out at our local community college that they do have cna classes there, so i might take a look into that . I have been told to call local nursing homes in my area, so that is my next approach as well .My question is does anyone know of any cna programs out in the AV area? Thank you for your time.

Specializes in clinical, audits.

Call AV College and speak to the nursing department. The CNA program there is excellent but since the town is so small you will have to go and sign up for the class at the crack of dawn and stand in a long line. But if you show your dedication you are certain to get in.

Good luck!

thank you im going to call them today :lol2:

I would take a look at http://www.cnatips.com/classes/nurse-aide-ca.php where they have all the state-approved CNA program providers in California. Make sure you look at all the pages they have and pay attention to the town. Make a list of the nursing homes in your area and call them up. As far as I know they will train you for free. Good luck to you!
