Clear Lake area...

Published

I live in the Clear Lake area, and when done with school I am thinking that I would like to work close to home. Does anyone know salary ranges for Clear Lake Regional and Christus St. John's?

Thanks for any info!!:D

To answer your question:

Base Starting pay at ClearLake for an RN is around 23.00/hr, which is pretty competitive to the Med Center minus the gas, communte, and parking issues. If intrested in ClearLake they should be having a Graduate Nurse dinner around april. This will be a great way to get your foot in the door they feed you, give door prizes and allow you to sit at a table with the nurse managers of the unit of your desire the whole night and allow you to ask question and hand out your resume. Any other questions feel free to ask, I just started working there in June and so far love it!!!

I have worked at both Clear Lake Hospital and at St. Johns but that was many years ago....both have their good points, both have their not so good....I am now in home health so I am seeing patients come out of both facilities..I would say the patients come home with the same praises and complaints from each facility.... A few years ago, Clear Lake was known for MRSA...and, yes, I have dealt with many many patients leaving CLRMC with MRSA and requiring home IV's. I needed surgery in 2005 and chose not to go to CLRMC for that very reason. I would check into both, CLRMC is for profit facility, St Johns is a not for profit facility and yes, it does make a difference....but then, I work for St. John's home health so I would tell you to check out St. Johns first, my husband is also a nurse and has worked at both hospitals. His choice is St. Johns.. Hope this helps:smilecoffeecup:

Base salary for CHRISTUS St. John is 26/hr (without shift differentials)
