Classroom exams

Published

Can someone please tell me how they prepare and study for a classroom exam? I usually pass but I don't think that I'm studying enough. We have so much material and chapters to read. I can't read all those chapters, it's just to many. I usually score between 75's and 82's. If someone could help me improve my test scores, I would be really happy. Thanks for all the upcoming advice.:uhoh3:

What exams? The NCLEX is always on computer now...?

I know what you mean about the reading! yuk! Thankfully not all my instructors test from the reading.. they go strictly from their lecture... So i don't feel bad if I can't get thru all of it. If I struggle from the lecture I read it in the chapter to help myself out. I make tons of note cards and carry them with me everywhere! So when I have 4-5 minutes, I pull out my cards. I make them that night after lecture so I can have a few days to go over them. And I only do them for certain instructors. I don't let a day go by without doing some studying.. alittle of each subject.. Some of the girls in my class do study groups but this doesn't work for me. I need quiet time to study. I haven't seen much of the outdoors since school started... but i know in the end it's all worth it! I hope my ideas helped... Good luck.

I hardly ever did all of the reading. The school I went to gave us objectives and that was the testable material. Most of the answers to the objectives came from the reading, but I hand wrote each and every one of them out. Took me hours, but doing that I did read what I needed to know, plus I wrote it out, so that was reviewing 2 times right there. If I didnt understand something, I would read that section. I am not sure if your school gives you objectives or something similar. I also had NCLEX review books/cds and I would practice questions on the content I was learning. That always seemed to help.
