I recently got terminated. I am so frustrated because I am applying to jobs but not getting anywhere. Seriously I just really needed to vent but I thought that nurses were needed... I thought that there was a nursing shortage. Part of me is starting to get really nervous about being able to find a job.Or is that this economy is so bad that jobs are hard to find? what do I do in the meantime.. other than look for jobs and finish my online school.

Sorry for the turn of events. In my area, there are very few jobs for any level of nursing. Some suggestions:
1. Finish your online school quicker. No matter what the subject, it will make you more marketable.
2. Do some soul-searching to come up with the whys of your termination and ways not to repeat the situation
3. Look for ALL nursing jobs. This includes nursing homes, agencies, private duty, correctional nursing, any place that hires nurses of any kind in your area.
4. You might need to take a look at non-nursing jobs unfortunately.
Thank you.I am working on the classes and the soul searching.

Don't leave out relocation as a last resort. I've had to relocate more than once to obtain employment.
I hope that does not happen... definitely last resort...I am currently in an apt. That is very true.thanks.
