Okay my fellow nurses and pre nurses here's the deal .. well I applied to the nursing program not to long ago submitted my application but not to confident about it .. I need to know the the average gpa (the 4 pre requisite) and the cumulative gpa that will guarantee me a seat in the program I applied before and got denied because I failed the teas exam but help me out here ...These are my grades and you guys let me know if I have a shot ..... okay A&P A-, MAT1275 B, CHILD PSYCH A- AND EN 101 B+... AND this year they wanted a 64.3 or higher on the teas entrance exam I ended up with a 65 and barely passed so please let me know do I have a chance because the lady at advisement said I don't "( and if I'm lucky it all depends on the pool of applicants so if your in the nursing program at city tech help me out here let me know what was your gpa and passing score thanx a lot

I was told you need a 3.7 gpa in the 4 pre-reqs to solidify yourself a seat in the program, I'm pretty sure there is only 81 seats available per semester (16,000 total students) and they rarely get below a 3.3 gpa. I applied this semester as well and scored 78% on the TEAS test. Check some other post on these boards and most of the time you'll see students got in with 3.7+ gpa's.
By the way, you can take the TEAs exam only twice. So if that was your first exam, consider reapplying after taking the test again. Just a quick question: did the advisor say you didn't have a chance because of your gpa pr TEAs score?
She said that I barley made it on the teas exam I just passed and that they only have limited amount of seats but I'm just staying optimistic and hope for the best because like they said on average they rarely get below a 3.3 I managed to get a 3.4 so I'm just praying and hoping for the best .. If I don't make it I'm considering to transfer to a different school... "/ but on average how many applicants are there ???? 15,000??? Because it all depends on the volume of applicants
No that's total amount of students. Stay positive and hope for the best! That's what I'm doing. I'm about more worried about the gpa (around the same as yours) since I know that's what they look at first. Best of luck! I think the acceptance/denial letters are sent 2 weeks after the current semester is over.
Yea I know and thanks hopefully we will get in ... and about how many people you think applied to the program? ??
