Does anyone have anything on what happens to this antidepressant after it has passed through the liver and enzymes have reduced the drug to metabolites.I'm a bit confused about how much free drug is available for pharmacologic action at its site. I know that Citalopram binds well to plasma proteins by up to 80% but does this mean that 20% is available for action? I have until 05th Jan 2005 to figure this out. Can anyone help or perhaps direct me to an appropriate site,Cheers from a rather mild Belfast, Northern Ireland & Happy New Year, Johnathan
