Hospitals care about two things: do you have a nursing degree and do you have a license for that state? Where you went to school is irrelevant unless the school has a bad reputation.

There are many community colleges, state universities, and private universities that offer a high quality education.

The Top nursing schools are schools that paid the fee and submitted their data to the ranking publication. There are many high quality schools that would be considered a top school if they went through the process, but chose not to due to the fact that "Presitge" of the nursing school is not a major factor for employers. The schools would rather spend their resources on getting on the list for top ranking Business/ Law/ Medical schools where the prestige of the school matters.
