Hi everyone...
I need advice from those of you who may have faced this position or who have insight into my situation.
I am a new grad RN as of this last May and I am currently interviewing for positions at a couple of hospitals. I have one offer and they want a response tomorrow but I still have interviews on Thursday and Friday.
If I accept the offer and then turn it down a week later, is that terrible? I want to remain professional and respectful but at the same time I want to do whats best for me.
I have never been in a position where I had to do this and I don't know what to do.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank You!

i asked for advice like you are now couple weeks ago about it. I accepted offer at one hospital at MS floor (just to relocate to bigger city), but since I vowed never to set my foot in med surg floor ever again in my career, i had other hospitals i was applying for at same metroplex. short story, maybe about few days later, i get the offer from 2nd hospital i applied and interviewed for, and had to call the first hospital to tell them i am sorry and blah blah. i just made sure to show my deepest gratitude and heart-broken sentiments for choosing other place for "closer to my family" reason. they get that lots of times, so it's not something that happens to them once in a century, so they are generally okay with it as long as you do it in professional way. I would speed the offers from other places as fast as possible though because you don't want to go to only couple days left to start orientation, then tell them that you are going to somewhere else.

I would accept ask for a few more days . It's a tough decision . I've wen in this situation several times . Sometimes I decline , then there were times I accepted it and when another offer came up I retracted my offer.
