Chicago BSN programs

I will be graduating in August with my RN and plan on moving to Chicago. I was interested in obtaining my BSN in Chicago and working as an RN to gain some experience in the meantime before I even try to get into the hospitals. Does anyone know of good schools either online or in person? Thanks!!

All the approved nursing programs are listed on the IDPR website, actually too many to recommend just a few. Plenty of good state schools, as well as Elmhurst, North Park, Loyola, St Xavier....

I heard there are restrictions on where you can live with which school you attend? Having to be in the same district as school? Is this completely false?

That's if you are looking for a community college program. And those are associates programs not BSN.

One other suggestions: Chicago job market is pretty impossible right now. You may want to find a job before moving because there aren't many!

Thanks for the info! I plan on having a job before I make the actual move, are there any suggestions of places I should start my search and applying?

Honestly I would anywhere and everywhere. I applied for over 300 RN positions before finding one. And now all the December grads are coming out and will be applying too!

Ok that's usually how I approach job applying haha! I won't be graduating until August and then still have to take exam but want all of my ducks in order!
