Charity PN fall 2015

Wondering if anyone is applying to the PN program this fall. I'm applying for the second time. Does anyone know the cut-off score from last year? Currently, I'm at an 85, by the end of the semester I should have my profile score at a 90. Fingers crossed I'm praying I get in this time around.

The cut off score for last year doesn't matter because they changed the score sheet around. You dont get points for gpa anymore.

Yes, I noticed that. Are you applying?

Yea i think i will. Im also looking into the RN program because its only an extra two semesters if i just go straight into getting my RN

My profile score is at an 80 now. I'm not sure if that's competitive enough though. I may retake the HESI or compass to improve points in those areas.

They changed the math that students needed to have for the 10 extra points also. Instead of math 118 the math that is needed for extra points is 120. So that messed up my profile score because i dont have enough time to take it because i turned in my application. Im really up set about that because i lost 10 points on my profile score because of it.

Typo: i meant i dont have enough time to take math 120 because the semester has already started.

I've taken math 130 so I can still get those extra points, but it's weird that they changed it right in the middle of the semester. I wonder if anyone with an 80 got accepted last year. What will your score be now?

My score is an 80 also. When i called last summer to ask what the cut off score was for fall 2014 they told me 80 but i think as long as the prerequisites are completed then we should have a good chance of getting in. I've been looking up posts from previous years on here and it looks like the only people the didn't get excepted was the one the did not A&P and medical nutrition completed by the time they put in they applied to the program.

I'm praying that 80 is good enough. Charity has the best nursing program in New Orleans. I was hoping for a 90 to seal the deal and be a little bit more confident lol I think I'm going to retake the compass.

Im going call them today to see if i will still get credit for my math 128

You should still get points for math 128. That counts

I just spoke with some at charity and they said that they will take the math 128 so i have my extra 10 points. I also retook the math portion of the compass test.
