fergus51 Jun 3, 2005 They are changing some things based on lots of research done around the world. I believe cpap will be included, also no more straight to 100% O2, pulse oximetry being standard in the delivery room, de-emphasizing color, etc. It sounds really good to me actually. 0 Likes

I just did my renewal course this week, and even though new guidelines are coming out next year, I won't have to deal with them until 2007. In some ways, I think that whenever they change the guidelines everyone should be renewed so they're "on the same page" but I know it won't happen. We'll keep doing every other year like always.I especially am interested in the room air stuff, because I do think more many babies need the PPV more than they do the oxygen. 0 Likes
