chamberlain 2019

Published

Hi. I am starting this thread to connect to others who plan to apply to Chamberlain Atlanta campus or any of there campuses. I would like to make a study group if possible to help study for the Hesi A2 test we have to take. If anyone is interested please reach out. I hope to hear from you.

I am thinking about going to this school, but I am not sure if I should. It's crazy expensive. I wonder if the Hesi A2 is easier than the TEAS?

It is expensive but if you get in and do the work the bsn rn is guaranteed. Other schools only take 30 or so applicants and if you dont get in, your waiting sometimes a year to apply again. Im in my mid 30's with kids i dont have time to waste waiting. Im gonna apply to a few places but if Chamberlain accepts me I will go there. I have just about all the pre reqs as long as they transfer. So that will help with price. I have been studying the Teas and hesi a2. They cover same content. I think what makes hesi harder is it covers more topics so i had to broaden my studying based on that. The good thing at Chamberlain is you finish with BSN versus just ADN. I found a few of the ADN programs near me are not even acredited outseide of board of nursing approval.

I completely understand about the waiting. I'm also in my 30s and I already wasted so much time. I'm currently at Chattahoochee Tech and I already applied to their LPN program for Spring 2019. If I don't get in, I want to take a few more classes and then I will consider Chamberlain.

I heard the HESI A2 is easier than the TEAs test. When I went to Chamberlain's open house, the advisor said to just go ahead and take it without studying. Its a basic test testing your basic knowledge. But I rather study and bush up on some subjects.

BTW, are you applying for May 2019?

Yes. Iam applying for the may 2019. But Im going to be starting the process in January taking the hesi and applying. Im using the time crom now until December to study and brush up on all the topics. If you can get into LPN program that would be awesome. Then you can transfer and they have the LPN to RN bridge.

Fyi, check out the Hesi a2 and teas apps i find it more comftorble do in my bed at night rather than gaving the book. And the Fundamentals of nursing app. There is a critical thinking section on the test this will help with being able to answer those types of questions. I did LVN and as someone who will be pursing a BSN, it was a waste of time and money. If you want a BSN RN don't even go for the LVN.

Hello friend,

I'm also applying to chaimberlain for next year January 7 2019. I was one of those that used to look down on chaimberlain but after research and reviews, chaimberlain nurses are very skilled and sort for in terms of employment. I'm taking my last two classes now...chemistry and statistics. I should be done by the end of this month. I'm in my very early 30s with a family and don't have anymore time to waste.

Hey everyone! I plan on applying to the Chamberlain Atlanta campus for May 2019 entry and taking the HESI in January as well.

I've been watching youtube videos and the main study technique is the Elsevier book. I went ahead and bought it and I plan on downloading the pocketprep app.

Well I didn't get into the LPN program so I plan on getting the BSN.

I'm meeting up with an advisor today to begin the process. I plan on starting as soon as possible. I don't want to waste anymore time than I already did. I will let you guys know how it went.

I will be taking the HESI soon. Do you have any recommendations when it comes to studying for Biology and Chemistry? Lastly, is a periodic table provided for the HESI exam to use during the Chemistry portion??

I haven't taken the exam yet. I was told that it is an untimed test. I went to the advisor and scheduled the exam for November 17th. As far as studying it, I was told to use the apps and look up HESI questions online like on quizlet. But I also bought the HESI study guide to bush up on my sciences.
