Chamberlain Sac Fall 2017

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Hello everyone,

I have applied to Chamberlain in Sacramento for this fall. I am currently waiting to find out if I get into the program, has anyone else applied or got in for fall of 2017? I am so excited to start the nursing program and to finally become a nurse! (:

Did you hear back from your advisor yet about your file? I did and I won't hear back officaily until July about starting this Sept.

That's exactly what they told me, they said my file was "on hold". Hopefully we both get in though (:

I'm trying hard not to bawl my eyes out, but yes *fingers crossed* hopefully we can get in. Do you know if being on hold mean "waitlist?" I hope we can hear sooner.

Same, I thought I was for sure going to get in, because that's how my counselor made it seem :(

I'm not too sure if we are on a waitlist, I asked the lady I spoke with and she was very unclear about it. Also, I don't understand why it is going to take so long to get an awnser about us getting in, since they already said yes to other people...that is what makes me think we are on a waitlist or something.

Exactly. With Chamberlain being a private institution, I thought they're more likely to accept students. Weird thing is that my original advisor wasn't the one who called me. It was a different woman who really was not clear. I am going to email her. Let's remain positive and hopeful.

I had a differently lady too. Let me know how it goes (: And yes, staying positive is key right now.

Hey all I received a phone call from the Dean at the Sacramento campus today and she informed me they are pushing the admissions committee back until the 25th of this month due to the amount of applications and only having 2 admissions advisors currently working at the campus also to allow all students to have time to get in all required paperwork/testing. So while it is unfortunate we have to keep stressing on our status for a couple more weeks it's good for those who still need to get their ducks in a row.

Okay that makes sense, so maybe they put everyone's file on hold? Thank you for the information (:

Hi! Thanks for that update! Makes sense now. Is the cap size still around 30 students?

I believe it is still around 30 students.

Hi all, I was just reading the comments and was wondering when you all took your HESI exam. I took mine on April 27 and may 2. I was told that committee was meeting yesterday, but haven't heard anything. I saw a post in here talking about committe being pushed out. Did any of you take your test same day? I got an email stating that my old admissions person is no longer mine and that a new one was taking over.
