No one here doing CGFNS ??

I'm in Texas but obtaining a California RN license and therefore, am bypassing Texas' CGFNS requirement. Here's some AllNurses articles on CGFNS:

Hope this helps.

Just curious, do you have your ATT from CA already? If not, are you aware of the problems in CA of many international applicants having issues with the passing of the concurrency rules? Or maybe your international degree may not be in the years affected or from certain unaffected countries?

But do you plan to work and practice in CA or TX? As if you plan to work in TX and getting a CA license would mean you still need to pass the TX requirements in the first place, so you would need to have the CGFNS done anyways and that means paying registration fees twice (once in Ca and again in TX).

Fortunately, I am not affected by the concurrency issues. Yes, I have my ATT from CA BRN and yes, I have registered with Pearsonvue. And no, I do not plan to work in Texas. My family are all in California and is the main reason for CA licensure.

Ahh, ok, XLNT deal! Good to hear some international applicants are getting thru the CA BON requirements. Maybe you're from the newest graduating classes with the updated and better curriculums!

Good luck on your NCLEX-RN exam :D

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Moved from the NCLEX forum as this has nothing to do with studying or sitting the NCLEX exam
