CGFNS Exam question.

Hi all,

Well the more you read the more questions you have LOL!!

Ok in my case I am RMN registered mental health nurse in the UK I am awaiting my CES from cgfns report to come through on what hours I need to make up.

But I have a question, if the report comes back that I have hours to make up before I can sit nclex can I take the cgfns exam INSTEAD? Can I sit the course and test and pass and then be allowed to sit nclex? Or will I need to make these hours up either way?

you will still need to make the hours up. CGFNS is different to BON and each BON has their own requirements plus I think immigration also has their own requirements

yes, you still have to make up the hours. the certification exam will also need your school transcrpt of record including the breakdown of hours in your clinical and hospital hours.the moment they found out that you luck your course hours then they will hold your application until you will prove them that you take a additional hours. good luck

CGFNS will not permit you to take their exam until you make up the hours.

And no state will let you take the NCLEX-RN exam until you have completed the hours. The NCLEX-RN exam is the final step in the licensing process, not the first. Once you get to sit for the exam, it means that you have met all of the requirements for that state in terms of completing classes, etc.
