CFCC?

Hi! I jumped from the NH board to the NC one! Hubby and I moved down to NC in mid-May because we were sick of the New England winters. I was enrolled in a nursing program back in NH (supposed to start this past semester) but I found out I was pregnant so I was going to start up there next fall. Since we moved, I'm now going through the entire app process again. Anyone gone to, going or applying to CFCC for 2010? I'm super nervous about getting in through the points system. I have all my prereqs (except Micro) done w/ A's in the majority of them with a couple of B's scattered in. I'm also applying to Coastal Community in Jacksonville too, want to have the best possible chances, ya know.

Nice to "meet" you all!

Good luck on the med return, I thought that it was pretty reasonable....I did fine on my assessment too....just so much to remember!

OlliesMom,

What was your overall GPA in your BS degree? I am trying to see my odds of getting in. Thanks!

Dwaynea: Your GPA from previous degrees doesn't matter at CFCC. The entire process is based on a "point count." I will include a link to the point count worksheet in here.

Dwaynea: as long as you have some of the prereq classes and do well in them (esp. A&P I and II since they are worth the most points) and then do well on the entrance test, you'll have a good shot. But it all does depend on the application pool, and what all of you "competitors" have in their educational history! Good luck!
