HI I wanted to see if I could get some I insight on excepting this position at a Nursing home. I got hired a week ago. I'm about to starthe my floor orientation this week. I was told that it would be over 10.00 but she have to speak to my reference. She wants me to start trainingredients but I don't know my pay. Why is it taking that longoing to come up with my pay. I've been doing patient care for 20 years certified 2 years I've never had a company to wait this long to share my REPORTED. It's for the Baylor Program 2 16's, 30hrs they pay me 7.5 incentive. I WOULD BE LOCKED IN TO WORK EVERY WEEKEND. I don't mind about that 6a to 10p. What do you guys think should be a good pay working the Baylor Program Every weekend? I was also told by HR we are not to turn, transfer a patient by ourself, that's gonna hold up the process of getting residents to were they need to go . A lot of CNA rather not work as a team player.

I reached out to someone at a well known hospital before the Nursing Home called me and she doing things on her end to get my application to the hiring manager. I know that would at least be 11 something close to 12 if not more. I won't have to get patients up just turn and give baths aND monitor. It would be fulltime employee over nights 7p to 7a. Everyother weekend . Which would you guys chose?

I never knew after a week you still haven't reached out to my references so I'm trying to figure this out. Your ready for me to start but I'm unaware of my pay? I understand here in LA they try not to pay you worth crap but I don't just take anything when it comes to my work ethics. I have excellent references. I just feel you should work as harder to contact my references like your trying to get me in here to work.

I would not have accepted the position without knowing what my pay would be. Ask for an appointment with HR to discuss your pay rate.

In the meantime, I would still interview other positions since it would never hurt. If another position is willing to pay more and not require every weekend...I wouldn' t give it a second thought about quitting and moving on.
