Hello, I am planing on beginning my journey to become certified. I wanted to know what others have used to help study and is there a book out there with test questions? Thanks. Eve

CPAN provides this list of
the only references approved by ABPANC and used to write the exam questions.

I used PeriAnesthesia Nursing: A Critical Care Approach. 6th Ed. Elsevier Saunders, 2013 by Cecil Drain. This is a newer edition, I actually used an older addition, but it gives all the info you need to pass the exam. Good luck with your exam.

Start with ABPANC's website (Home | American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification | ABPANC), take a certification review (even at the early stages, it helps you get your head going in the right direction--ASPAN does a bunch of these every year, and independent instructors do, too), and read the Core Curriculum. I want to do the same this coming spring--good luck to us!!
