Certification Failure

I have taken the AANP exam twice (Oct. 2013 & Jan. 2014) and just took the ANCC exam yesterday. I failed 3 times!! I have tried different study materials throughout this process. I have used Fitzgerald CDs and I have her book. I have the Leik book. I attended the Hollier review and have her book. I have the 2 volume manual from ANCC. I bought a bundle of 15 practice exams online. I took predictors from APEA. I took 2 practice exams from AANP. I took 2 practice exams from ANCC. I finished my degree in August 2013. I am devastated and desperate for help on how to pass these exams. I did well in the program, never less than an A in any course. I've been a nurse for 20 years and I've never had a problem passing exams. Does anyone have suggests on where I should go from here?

What are your areas of weakness? Are they consistent from exam to exam? Did you find any of the review courses helpful, they often allow you to return for few if you fail the exam. I know Fitzgerald will work with you to help you pass if you take her course.

I know you are frustrated, hang in there, but be careful about saying you are sure you are competent to practice: this may very much be true but as it stands now you aren't by legal terms. It's unusual for a straight A student to have difficult passing the basic entry to practice board exams, is there something particular you struggle with?

Test anxiety perhaps?

That at can mess up even a very competent student.
