Certificate Number

Hello,

I took my CNA exam on 12/21/16 (12 weeks ago) and I have yet to receive my certificate in the mail.

When calling the the provided information line, they keep telling me to wait. There is no reason (no criminal backgroud) where I should not have been approved.

My issue is that my employer will teriminate my contract if I don't receive it within the next week. All of my classmates have received theirs and no one seems to be able to help me. We were told it would take up to 6 weeks.

I am extremely lucky to have this job opportunity and I fear that I will not be this lucky again. I was accepted in an acute care hospital without prior experience.

Can you go online and look it up on your state's CNA licensing/certification site?

All employers are able to do so, and you can too. It's public information.

It's not there yet, as I haven't been issued a certificate number. I'm not sure why the issuing is taking over 12 weeks

Any update? I didn't have this issue when I got my Oregon CNA, but when I transferred it to Washington it took soooo long. About 15 weeks. Even though I don't have a criminal record, they had to send my prints and go through a second background check before they would activate my certification. It's really weird that yours would take so long when your classmates were able to get theirs.
