Cerritos College Spring 2010

At Cerritos you can only apply once a year -I am an alternate and stillll waiting to hear something from them.

Has anyone heard from them and is there going to be a Spring Orientation??

I applied back in March . . . The waiting is so HARD!! :scrying:

If anyone could give me any info. I would really appreciate it. . . Everytime I email them, their response is- No new updates. :no:

I got a letter in the mail this weekend from Cerritos. I'm in for sure. Phew! There is going to be another orientation on November 2nd ... assuming it will be for those admitted and for the alternates. I hope you got your letter!

I am on the alternate list too. I took the TEAS test on July 27th.

I called today cuz I saw what Apgar10 said (that he/she got the letter already).A lady was there telling me that if I did take the TEAS test she would have sent me the letter. So I told her I did take the test. She later called me back and said she found my score and would send my letter out today. She said on Nov 2nd, there will be an orientation. If people who are already admitted to the program don't show up that day, they will start replacing those spots with people on alternate list. She said I should definitely go because I ranked pretty high on that list.

So I suggest you instead of sending them emails, call them. That way you can talk or ask them more specific question, like your status.. Also, I think you were one of those 9 people who took the test on that day with me, right? I would have missed the chance if I didn't call today.

once a year is not enough!! btw when is the application period? i'm hoping it's may or june? i will like to apply for the lvn to rn bridge program next year :)

i'm taking physiology and microbiology in coastline. my last two classes..this is too much!

march?! i guess cerritos is out of the question.

im registered to take physio and micro at coastline (4 days a week of school). i don't think i'm brave enough to take those two classes this fall semester..i think doing that would be alot harder for me than taking lvn all over again. :( sigh...

If you're registered to take physio and micro at Coastline, aren't you taking them in the Fall?

yea..those are my last two classes i'm taking this fall...:( i already have associates degree and went to csuf for a while. my bf's ex gf is already in the cerritos rn program and she said the teachers are great.

there's no way i will able to get A's in those two classes.

i'm assuming that cerritos expect students to have As in their prequisites and all..

I don't understand then... if you're taking those classes in the Fall you can apply in March for Cerritos. Pass the classes and get the best grades you can. Have you read through the application process on the link I gave you? If so, then you know the minimum grade required is a C and an overall GPA of 2.5. I'm graduating in December from Cerritos.

thanks for that website link. i should have looked further into it. i read the cerritos handbook and they require lvns to have a minimum of 1 year to work in skilled nursing or hospital based facility
