CCU Or CTICU?

I am applying for a staff nurse position in the CCU or CTICU. My question is, where will I get more experience. The CCU is mostly cardiac medicine. The CTICU is mostly cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery. Cant make up my mind. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

Are you an RN ?

Im a RN with 1 year surgical step-down experience.

if you have surgical step down, i'd suggest going to CT instead of CCU. You'll see more surgical cases there and some things may carry over for you better.

My real question is where will I learn the most- in terms of critical care knowledge, cardiac knowledge, and skills. I do have surgical skills, but dont mind learning a whole new set of skills if necessary.
