CCRN Study Help

I'm starting to study for my CCRN. I have the PASS CCRN book and another book recommened by the CCRN but I can't seem to find the Laura Gasparis Vonfroilo CD's anywhere!! Does anyone know where I can purchase them? I work full time and have a small child, can anyone give me some study tips? Thanks!

You can always purchase Dr Laura's material on her website: greatnurses.com. Also, ebay occasionally will have her stuff on sale cheaper.

Cardiac is the biggest focus on the CCRN test. I would start there. Try not to get overwhelmed, because at first there seems to be just too much to learn, but if you take it a little at a time, absorbing as you go, you will learn enough to pass. Just keep a positive attitude and it really isn't as difficult as it may at first seem. You can do it!!

hi you are right it is NOT as daunting as some people make it out to be. I have taken it twice now; once after the middle of march 2011 and then exactly two weeks later( 1st week in april). The first time I scored 87!! and made the mistake of taking it too soon again ( I scored 88)without proper review of Cardio and Pulmo ( I scored EXACTLY 52% and 68% respectively on both sections the first and second time...very weird and a whole lot of question to get wrong :) The pass score is 89 out of 125 questions( 25 questions are not scored) so now I know where to focus my study and the next time will be the last!!. You CAN do it...i do not even work in an ICU setting

...and I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!. I concentrated so much on Cardio and Pulonary ( where I scored 80% and 73% respectively) that I dropped low on Neuro and Behavioral sections. ..but I made it.

having done this exam I really admire people who have the certification because it sure was not easy.

:)
