I'm trying to renew my CCRN, and have not worked in IcU in the past year. I have read the AACN website and the mention something about ccrn-e. What is that? It goes on to talk about ICU -e ?? I meet the required hours of 430, but not in the past year. I would like to keep mt CCRN, since it took me 6 years to build up enough courage to take the test. TIA

CCRN-E is a renewal option for CCRN credentialed nurses who primarily work in virtual ICUs now.
To renew as a CCRN you need to have worked 432 hours in the past 3 years with 144 of those in the past year....
I would look through their page and check up on a CCRN Inactive status...maybe you can do that? It looks like from once you renew in an inactive status you have 3 years to meet regular renewal requirements to reactivate your credential.
