CCBC Spring 2012

Well, I may as well start a new thread for CCBC's Spring 2012 applicants. :) I hope I get good news this time around. :) Anyone else planing on applying for spring? I know it is early but we can chat a long the way. :) This will be my 3rd time applying. I have applied to Essex twice and now I will be applying to Catonsville. They say 3rd time is a charm, right!

To those that will be applying for the first time, AN is a great place to get info and have some really good support. :) Good Luck everyone! :heartbeat

Hi my name is Diana. I am applying to CCBC Catonsville and Howard for Spring of 2012. Has anyone taken Microbiology with Madike at Dundalk? I am taken him over the summer in a 6 week session and wanted to know if anyone knows if he skips any chapters in Micro book?

Hey guys, I got accepted to CCBC's LPN program for this fall and am totally excited about it! I am still going to apply for this Spring 2012. I really want to go to Essex; so I think I am applying to Essex for a 3rd time. If I don't get in, I will still be able to finish the LPN program and do the LPN to RN bridge through Essex.

What do you guys think. Is it better to keep applying to Essex or should I apply to Catonsville this time?

Update: I am so excited about the LPN program; I am sticking with it! Good Luck everyone! Besides, CCBC's LPN to RN program is done @ Essex. I guess I have to bust my butt and get good grades to greater my chances of acceptance. Again, GOOD LUCK!!! :)

Hey I'm applying to Catonsville for the spring and am a bit nervous. I took the Teas and am going to retake it for a better score.. So just goin through the motions.. Good luck to everyone..

Hey Everyone! I am going to apply to Essex day program for spring 2012. I am taking my TEAS test this Friday and I am sooo nervous about it. I currently have 2 "C"s on my transcript. Both in A&P I and II. So this fall I am retaking A&PI. Does anyone know if it matter is you take classes at catonsville but apply to Essex? I really really hope I get in!! THanks*

sarbear, it doesn't matter which campus you take your classes. i have taken classes at each campus. all the campuses are the same school. good luck to you!

Thanks so much for the reply! Im getting excited to hand everything in for the spring program....Im thinking about retaking my TEAS before the dead line. I only got a 70% first time and I would like to get at least an 80%.

How did everyone else do on their TEAS test?

I think the average is only a 63%, so I am sure you already did better than most. However, you want to get the best possible score so it wouldn't hurt to study and try to do better. Good Luck. :)

Does anybody know when the acceptance letters came out last year? Just tryin to get an idea of time frame..

  • Author

Most people got their letters on November 12th 2010.

Eeekk thats gonna be so scary waiting for that letter! I am retaking my TEAS to hopefully get better score. Anyone know my chances...I have GPA 2.97 and so far TEAs 70%. Both are on the lower end but I am retaking my A&P I this fall for better grade and I am taking math which I never took. So if I dont get in this semester I hope to get in the next. Thanks for the info everyone! Oh and one more question....which is better to apply to Essex or Catonsville? ANyone know which one gets less apps.?> THanks again!

I think both campuses get about the same amount of applications, but Catonsville has more spots open. So, my guess would be Catonsville. I applied to Essex twice and got rejected twice. If I wasn't accepted this fall for the LPN program at Dundalk, I was going to apply to Catonsville for this Spring. Is your GPA an overall GPA or is it your nursing classes only? They only look at your pre-nursing GPA for consideration.
