I want to go to CCAC's RN program. I already have all of the pre-reqs and other courses. All I need are the nursing courses (NRN). I need to work while I am in school. I'm looking for a nursing program that offers a schedule that will fit in with my work schedule... hopefully something that starts after 5pm.
My question is, do any of the CCAC campuses have night/weekend options? Is anyone in these programs? How do they work (i.e. clinicals, days, hours, etc.)?
Thanks!
How much have you paid for books at CCAC?

I can't remember how much I paid for books 1st semester. But I did buy them used. This semester in 102 I rented all of my books- previous editions- from Chegg for around $150. We don't study from the books as much as I thought we would. We have power points and use the books for references.

Hi,
I am currently in my last semester at CCAC-Allegheny Campus. Like most people, I have a day time job (fulltime) so the Evening/Weekend program really fits my schedule. Class is usually 2 nights a week (lecture and lab) and then clinical is either 3pm-11pm Thurs & Fri, or 7am-3pm Sat & Sun.
Well, first year students only have 1 day of clinical per week... It's hard work and the most of the faculty is clueless so be prepare to do a lot of self-study. You'll be fine if you are self disiplined.

I am in NRN 102 now. I do the evening program and at south campus we have class and lab Tues and Thurs night and clinicals on Sat. First semester I paid around $400 for books but that was with buying one optional book, this semester I think it was around $300.
Just an FYI, CCAC's nursing program is so frustatingly unorganized and they do have young faculty that really shouldnt be nursing instructors, be prepared to self study ALOT!!!! There are a few very good instructors, Mrs. Paul, Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Piekut and Mrs. Finley are very experienced and knowledgeable!!!!

I attend Boyce and I've noticed the same thing as well.
