CATN is back!

Hi Everyone,

I received an email from ENA that CATN is back. It's been a while since it was last offered.

Has anyone taken the new CATN yet?

I just saw this acronym somewhere recently and had no idea what it was. (What is it?)

CATN stands for: Course in Advanced Trauma Nursing.

ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) offers TNCC, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), CATN, and GENE (Geriatric Emergency Nursing Education).

Yep saw it today and will be taking it soon. I've been looking to take an advanced trauma course beyond TNCC for about 3 years now. In fact I almost signed up to do ATLS which is about $500!!!! This is half the price and probably covers a lot of the same material.

ENA & BCEN are also coming out with a trauma cert soon, this year I believe.

I love trauma so I will do anything to keep my knowledge and skills fresh.
