what exactly is a Case Manager at a nursing home?

Is it the number one nurse manager or director?

Are case managers always RN's?

They are RNs. I know what a HH case manager does but not a LTC one does. HH makes sure orders are correct and up to date. Yewarly or quartly labs and texts are done and check that policies are followed...ie.

Fall Precautions, restraints, etc.
