Hi, Did you receive on the job training, formal education, or some combination of both to do case management? Thanks in advance for your input😉

I was just hired as a Case Manager after 18 years RN experience and my employer is going to give me 90 days orientation and on the job training.

On the job training... I was also a clinical bedside nurse for a number of years prior to my transition. Ironically, I am back by bedside in another job while I continue to work in case management per diem because I found case management to be limited in promotional opportunities....
