Ok I finished my CNA class over the summer and I am currently waiting to take the CNA test. I just interviewed at a home health care agency for a non-medical caregiver position. Would something like this be beneficial to getting hired as a CNA once I get my certification? Would they consider this experience?

I think it would because it shows you have experience dealing with patients.

Yes, it would be considered experience. Once you get the CNA certificate, the agency should start assigning you to CNA cases and paying you as a CNA. Get a HHA certificate if they have that in your state and you will be even more attractive to your agency.
Thanks! I'm hoping to stay with the company but, I know that hospitals like to hire CNAs that have LTC experience, as opposed to just home health. I live in Nevada and I don't think they have a HHA certificate here.
