cardiology certification

This may sound like a dumb question but here goes. After you get your NP certification can you further specialize like in cardiology or trauma? I would like to eventually do pediatric cardiology/intensive care maybe even add neonatal. Just not sure what the rank and file is for this. any input is welcome. Thanks. dawn

you should take the peds critical care track/acute care track at your university.

you can not just get an msn and walk on to a peds icu and get trained completely there.

Bump...

This is not a dumb question. I think you are asking if you can target a specific area once you graduate as a NP. I think that many people do this and finding the right position or opportunity may be key. Hopefully someone more qualified can address this question for you??
