C.A.P. Program

Okay, I might be way over my head for this but I want to apply to the C.A.P. program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I am currently a nursing student. I am aware that the deadline is on February 15th. I looked at the requirements and I noticed that the program is requesting a BCLS certification. I don't have that yet...so I am wondering, is there a chance I can still be accepted while obtaining such a certification? or Should I obtain it first and apply another time. I wish I knew about this sooner, but oh well, have to see what I can do.

Never fail to try.

BCLS (basic cardiac life support) is now known as AHA CPR with AED for Healthcare Professionals (also sometimes called BLS/Basic Life Support). (My first CPR for the Healthcare Professional certificate was called "Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Professionals and my ARC card was "CPR for the Professional Rescuer") Most nursing students are required to take the course before beginning clinical rotations.

So you may already have this credential and not realize it. Good luck.

Thank you, I am going to find out from my student files at the university as soon as I can.

Have any of you received an interview/heard back yet??
