Can't Sleep!

Published

I'm not sure if it's jet lag ( I was in Italy for 2 weeks) but my problem isn't falling asllep, it;s staying asleep. I was on Ativan for a few years, very low dose with no hangover for this periodic problem the when I relocated from California to Nashville as you can imagine, the problem became worse.

I was put on Ambien CR and I swear I sleepwalked, cooked, and had no memory of my nocturnal actions, plus had a whopper of a hang over the next morning. I am now on the max dose of Lunesta and find mydelf waking earlier and earlier despite what time I go to be.

That is the only medication I am on, I have no other health problem, am not overweight ( I was thinking I had sleep apnea but my husband reports I am a dead weight sleeping with no snoring) but my sleep deprivation is starting to make me giddy and goofy. Should I go back to my local MD and ask for ativan since Lunesta is clearly not working at this time? I'm getting frustrated with my lack of sleep since it is the one thing that really recharges my batteries. Thanks

Definitely see your PCP for he/she is the only one who can advise you about this.

Take care and hope things improve.
