CandidatePerformance Report

I was just wondering can anyone tell me if I answered 241 questions on the NCLEX and failed. Then when I got my candidate performance report, I had all of the content areas near the passing standard but one is below the passing standard. Does this means I was very close or not. I panicked when I saw I had 45 minutes left in the test, so the last three questions I just kind read it fast and didn't really think it through. I have problems in comprehending the questions. I have a hard time trying to figure out what is asking. I have taken this test three times, I am beginning to wonder if I will ever be a registered nurse.

I'm sorry, it's been a long time since I took the test, so I can't answer your question. And forgive me for asking, have you taken an NCLEX test prep class? I didn't know that you could take the test more than three times. I do know someone who took the test twice and really wanted to just give up and not take it again. Luckily, an instructor gave her the name of a very intensive test prep class in town. In fact, they had a very high pass rate (per the nurse) Third time, she took the test, no problem. And just to let you know, she was a GREAT nurse from what I saw. Just not a good test taker.

Good luck and I hope you passed. Keep us posted.

From what I know of the NCLEX, if you answered 241 questions, you were close to passing.

Good luck next time - remember, DON'T RUSH, even if you think you are running out of time. The next question might be the one that is going to put you over the edge into the "pass" zone. And if you run out of time, you can still pass - they look at your performance on the last 60 questions to see if you will pass or not. Each question counts, just slow down, concentrate, and don't give up.
