can you still get into the nursing program with a C+ in AP I

currently Im going to comminity college yaking all the prerequisites for nursing so i can transfer yo a 4 year and get my BSN, specifically i would likr to go to Hunter but i know they're very strict with the no C's and only B's and up, especially for science courses. I also know they generally dont accept repated cpurse grades. Im worried that I screwed myself and wont be able to get in a nursing program with a C in AP I. Has anyone here gotten into a nursing program with a C or C+ in a science course and if so, what was the school? (schools in new york state or cunys?)

aww thank you so much

I'm out on the other side of the country, but I've known a couple folks who got into local ADN programs with a couple C's on their transcripts. It all depends on how your program determines entry, the number of people applying, how well you did in all your other classes, and what your TEAS score was.

The program at my school admits people on a points-based system. For each letter grade you get "x" amount of points and after you take your TEAS test you get "x" amount of points based off your accumulative score. The 20 people with the most points get into the cohort they're applying for and the next 10 are waitlisted and placed into the next cohort.

I would suggest retaking the course and trying to get a better grade. The Nursing application at my school goes of "points" and you get more points the higher your GPA and grades are. They most focus and want strong backgrounds in A&P, as in the nursing programs or any allied health program that's something they build upon. They may accept people over you who have a higher grade. It really depends on the school, and your competition when you apply.
