Well, after graduating from college about a month ago, with a double major in environmental science and legal studies, i'm the jackass that decided i wanted to do something else, haha.
I'm very hands-on and have always enjoyed the sciences. Initially, I had plans of suffering through law school and becoming a lawyer. Now, even though 90-100 hours a week of work I dont enjoy sounded terrific, I realized, after looking into it, that i'd love to do nursing. The idea of it makes me feel pleasant instead of anxiety-ridden and filled with dread.
I also have a plan to move to Ireland. Maybe its my determination to find another Irish man to replace the ex, haha jk. I have decided to take an LPN program, which can be completed in about 10 months, or less since my environmental science background required many science classes, and then take get my associates online. I figure that way I can work through the classwork a bit faster and have the flexibility to move (because i'd be taking the classes online). My plan is to complete my graduate work in nursing, so i'm only going for the associates as that is all that is required for the grad program i'd like to do....which i'm not even thinkin of cause i just wanna take it one step at a time! haha. i have a tendancy to overwhelm myself when I think of my whole LPN,nursing degree, move, marriage to a hot irish man, grad school superwomen 10 year plan.
Do you guys think this is a decent idea? everyone i tell my plans to just doesnt encourage me and tells me to go to the associates stright off the bat...but i mean, i want flexibility in my courseload which is why I am opting for the online and getting my LPN first because that is the minimum education required before I can enter any online nuring programs.
Let me know what you think, and if you thinks it's okay then be extra enthusiastic cause i'm sick of hearing how awful my plans always are (i.e. when i told people i wanted to go to law school and they laughed...i'm a good student damnit!)
