Can I get into the Nursing Program???

Hi, I'm currently a pre-nursing student and this is my last quatrer in school before i get accepted into the nursing program. I have some concerns and questions that i'm deeply worried about because i have some misdemeanors on my criminal record but it was over 9 years ago. The charges were criminal trespass and affray and i'm so scared i want be able to go to clinicals when they run my background. I called the Board of Nursing but they couldn't help me.The only thing they told me was it goes by a case by case basis. I'm so scared anf frustrated because i dont know what to do.Ihave always wanted to become a nurse and now is my chance and i may not.Somebody please help if you have any suggestions for me please help!!!!!!!!

the bon does go case by case. there are some awesome threads with all the info you are looking for. of course no one here can offer legal advice, but i will say the bon is usually willing to work with you. you may have to jump through hoops. you also may want to file for an expungement and this would begin with the court system that sentenced you. get going, it takes time to cut through red tape. good luck!
