I went to school in MA and I am taking the Nclex in NYC. My school in MA had review class but because I am already in NYC, I couldn't take that class.
I am not taking any review classes here and I am planning to study by myself. I have been studying for two weeks and there are a lot to cover. I am afraid that I am studying right and not be able to pass. Do you think it is necessary to take review class? If I use Saunders book, do you think I will be able to pass without taking the review class? I would Appreciate any advices.
Thank you.

Lots and lots of people pass without taking a review course. Have you completed a practice test?

I passed without a review course. I did read the Saunders and did all of the end of chapter quizzes. Also did a few NCLEX 3500 practice CD tests.
Wow, I think you studied a lot. You must have solved over 10,000 questions.
How was the exam? Was it harder than the practice exam or easier?
Do you think nclex practice CD tests really helped?
I heard some people say that real nclex exam is nothing like practice exams; questions were very different. Is that true?
I studied for about a month in January, when I read Saunders and did the chap questions. I studied about a week and a half for NCLEX, because I took it 4 days after graduation. This is when I focused on problem areas and test questions. I thought that the questions were actually very similar for the most part. The exam was very easy at first, but then toward the end I had mainly select all that apply questions, which are not my thing. However; obviously the exam does not demand perfection, as I passed with 75.
Obviously, while taking NCLEX, most grads have to perform under max stress. I think that the value of using the CD tests is to practice the process of answering NCLEX-type questions to the point where stress has less influence on your ability. GOOD LUCK!
Thanks so much for the responses. I feel more confident now.
