So its my first weekend on call although I've been in home health for 3 years, I was an lpn and now an RN. I work prn with two companies and am on call this weekend. Just curious to which kind of calls do you other nurses receive? How busy have you gotten? So far so good, only one admit, snv, and a question from the physical therapist about a drug. Also what is your pay rate for being on call? I believe ours is $150 for the weekend, Friday 5pm til Monday 8am. Thanks for the inputs!

I'm on-call this weekend but my agency is a little different. We don't do visits on-call. We are combined private duty/skilled intermittent patients. Most of the calls I get are stupid. So far- a nurse who decided to go to her shift an hour late and didn't inform the family, so the family called wondering where the nurse was, a nurse who was running late for a shift because his car broke down, a nurse who was supposed to be training and was confused about where he was supposed to go and a family who wanted additional coverage because a nurse from another agency called out. We get $175 for the weekend- Friday at 4:30P through 8AM Monday.
