C in one prerequisite

Hi everyone

Did you or someone you know got into a BSN program in California with one C in a prerequisite? However received As in all the other science prereqs? I took it over the summer with a four month old baby at home ..(total regret). . But I feel like it's going to be hard for me to get into a program with that C tainting my gpa.

Most programs don't admit people with C's in any prerequisite. You'll probably have to retake it.

Even if the rest are As though? I mean essentially it's the same as someone who got equal #s of As and Bs. Maybe I'm just trying to justify myself but yeah it balances out to the same gpa

Yes even with just one C and the rest A's and B's. There are students with no C's some with no B's and only A's that can't get into a BSN program in California. That is the reality of a BSN programs in California.

It's not the end. I got a C in statistics, and got into a CSU BSN program. Just make sure you have excellent grades in your other classes and blow the TEAS out of the water. For me, my GPA wasn't great, but my TEAS score made up for it.

I think you will be okay if it's just one C, IF you can retake it, try...but if not you still have a good chance of getting in. Just try to get a high score for your TEAS test, it'll kind of even it out. good luck!
