Hi I am currently on target to apply for nursing school in the spring. However at our college they don't allow you to take science pre requisites until after your complete a&p 2. So my advisor had me get all non science and both a&p out of the way. Now all that's left is chemistry, patho, microbiology and nutrition. Is it plausible I can do these in one term together? My advisor says I should be fine and I can apply in the spring whereas if I split it up I will have to wait for the winter. I am just concerned because some students say that I'm nuts for trying this. I really have no clue because I'm new to college and the only science course I've taken is anatomy and physiology. Thank you!

Depends on you, your school, and the professors. If you get the four most difficult professors in the state, that could be very difficult. Some people like difficult, though. Ratemyprofessor can be a good resource for gauging past experiences. Just keep in mind that if they type in text speak, they probably failed for a reason.

If you consider yourself a good student, I think you'll be fine with that workload. My pre-requisite year I took 18 credits (6 classes) including a few sciences. But I dedicated myself and did fine.
