Hi there and congrats on your decision to attend a university!
Both schools you mentioned have excellent nursing programs. I'm in the program at Wayne State and I absolutely love it, and I know people who have attended U of M's nursing program as well. The number of students accepted each year really varies with budgets (though with the money granholm decided to give to universities hopefully they will be able to offer a lot more slots). I know that for fall '08 wayne admitted 48 students in the traditional program; in fall '07 they accepted 88 students in the traditional program. I'm not sure how many U of M accepted either of those years. Both programs are very competitive to gain entry into so you'll want to ensure your GPA in prereqs is very high. I know wayne gives preference to students who complete the prereqs there so if you want to get in their nursing program it really is an advantage to take the prerequisite classes needed to apply to the nursing program at Wayne State.
Let me know if I can help you in anyway!

Have you thought about eastern?
I was thinking about Eastern. What are their requirements for pre-req's and do they go by G.P.A or is it a waitlist?
