BS in Biology to ADN program

Hello all,

I will be graduating with a BS in biology this coming spring however i feel torn. I really wasn't sure what i wanted to do with my life when coming to UC Davis so i decided biology was the way to go. My years here at davis have been extremely hard as i have had many family orientated issues to deal with which ultimately took a toll on my academic career. I will be graduating with a GPA below a 3.0 and i know it is not at all competitive. I wish i would have know what i wanted with life.. i would have done the nursing program at csueb when i had the chance, but things happen for a reason right?

my questions are:

i know my gpa is inadequate. i want to attend the sac city college ADN program but dont know what to do about pre reqs.. im considering retaking most of them to have a higher gpa. when applying to the program is it possible to just use those classes or will i have to also send in the transcripts from my BS in bio? is there a way for me to just set my 1st bachelors aside and start all over?

I've had to do a lot of soul searching these last couple years but i am determined and will reach my goals some way or another.. any advice will be greatly appreciated..

if i really dont have a chance of getting accepted into the community college programs, due to grades and/or waitlists, i was looking into private/vocational school programs. the one i had in mind is unitek college in fremont, ca. they have an LVN-RN bridge program which looks promising. it is, hoever, quite expensive so if there is hope for me of getting into a community college program i would do that hands down.

i apologize for being quite naive in the subject.. the anxiety about my future is really catching up to me and sometimes i just feel hopeless.. but i know my determination will pay off.. thanks again!
