I am a second semester nursing student in an ADN program. I already have my Bachelors in another field, but I am affraid that when I graduate nursing school, I will have trouble finding a nursing job. I have heard that there are bridge programs that will allow me to get my BSN while in school for my ADN. Does anyone know a school that offers this in California or online? Any advice will help! Thanks

There are many. It's too bad you didn't look into accelerated BSN programs you could have entered directly with your previous bachelor's degree, too.
Call some of the local or regional state and private colleges (NOT those online-degree rackets) and ask them if they have any ADN-to-BSN programs. You'll find plenty to choose from and you can start investigating their prerequisites, fees, and so forth.
Good luck!

There are soooo many programs out there. Don't fret. I have my ADN and now I am in an RN-BSN program. It was much more economical for me to do it this way. Lots of nurses are getting their BSN's now so many schools offer RN-BSN options and some even offer fast track BSN programs for people like you who already have a bachelors degree. Just search online and stay clear of the unaccredited for-profits that pop up out of thin air.
I wouldn't worry too much about finding a job because they are out there. Just be patient with yourself and understand that if you have set requirements (shift, specialty, hospital) then, it may take a bit longer to find work. I understand the nursing field is saturated in California. Would you be open to relocate or work LTC/outside of a hospital?

I agree with this poster. I'm in CA and am going to earn an ADN, then bridge RN- BSN.
Many Cal State Universities offer this option, including Sac State, chico state and Dominguez hills.
There are also online schools such as western governors.
Some of the CSUs offer online options also.
