BRCC Nursing Program 2020

How does it work if you are picked as an alternate? Are you notified of that in June or in August?!

@RN in the making 2022 I’m number 4 on the space list. What number are you? Do you know how they go about notifying us if space becomes available?

I didn't get in. Hopefully next year!

They notified people all the way until October

She told me I was number 68 on the list... I don't stand a chance. ? Crazy how taking my prereqs at a different college effected me so much!

@Nursetobe2023 You definitely have a great chance to be accepted to the program this year (fingers crossed). #4 is right there, so close! ? @brookegoodwin92 I feel your pain with #68, I'm #106 on alternate list, so don't feel bad LOL ? we can both just prepare/better ourselves and reapply again next year girl.

Can those who got in please share your GPA's, TEAS score, #classes taken at BRCC, as a scope for those of us who didn't get in?

@RN in the making 2022 I made a post about my experience (I think it’s on pg. 4 of this thread), but the shorter version is this:

2019 Application: 88 TEAS / 3.6 GPA / 0/5 Classes Taken at BRCC — Didn’t get accepted and was 20-something on the list.

2020 Application: 88 TEAS / 3.8 GPA / 3/5 Classes Taken at BRCC — Accepted!

Per the advice from the nursing advisor, I retook 3 classes at BRCC so I’d have that going in my favour and also managed to raise my GPA a little bit in the process.
