Both sides have things that irk me

The so called "progressives" who have made the drug and homeless problem in my West Coast city much worst and the right with the crazy QAnon stuff.

Perhaps there is a difference. QAnon is a ridiculous fringe group without any power in changing laws and policies.

The people(progressives) who do make laws and policies, do have that power. As seen in your City.

However both side can do with a constructive change.

The price of housing, the easy access to drugs the loss of unskilled jobs and the weather make things worst on the west coast.  Homelessness is pervasive everywhere.  It's just that they are more visible in warmer climates.  It's not a progressive - conservative thing.  It's just a sign that we have bred ourselves into an unsustainable economy.  Oh, I don't think it was always progressives (whatever that is) that was thrilled to cut the tax load by closing down the state mental hospital systems.  That must've make every Republican running for office during those decades look like a savior for the taxpayer but it didn't work out so well without any replacements for what they tore down.  The homeless congregate in their tents close to the old state hospital in my town and it closed in the 80's.  It was the only home they knew so that's where they want to stay.
