Book Suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions for supplemental reading/studying for nursing classes, especially A&P or Pharmacology?

I have those classes for my Spring semester (along with other classes) and they already gave us our Spring booklist so we could start buying them now. So I'll be able to get a headstart reading and preparing with my textbooks, especially for A&P and Pharmacology.

I heard from some students at school who are currently taking A&P (they're a semester ahead of me) and they say it's brutal. So I'm glad I have time to study and prepare before starting the class in January.

Anyways, I picked up the Anatomy and Physiology coloring book I seen mentioned on here, and the Kaplan A&P flash cards as well. I'm waiting for them to be delivered.

Are there are other supplemental texts or study tools recommended for A&P? What about Pharmacology?

Try the "Incredibly Easy" series.. I don't have A&P or Pharmacology but I have Fluids & Electrolytes, ECG Interpretations, and Pathophysiology Incredibly Visual. I read A&P For Dummies when I took intro to A&P and it helped... for A&P 1&2.. I just used to textbook. We haven't done Pharmacology yet but I plan on just using the textbook for that too with a little help from Mosby Pharmacology Memory Cards. Good luck!!!

Thanks a bunch! I looked online at the Mosby's Pharmacology Memory NoteCards you mentioned, and I'll be picking those up as well. The reviews on them look to be excellent, so I'm excited to get them.

I'm also going to look into the Incredibly Easy series, as I've heard many good things about those books as well. Thanks!
