Bone Marrow result...

Hi everyone,

Dont know if you remember me posting a while back saying I had low platelets...

Well I had to have a Bone Marrow Test last month and got the result today - I havent got Leukemia but they confirmed I have Chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura. My platelets were 108,000 - so still a little low but they are staying around that mark.

So at least I know to keep away from Aspirin etc - they did advise me to eat more green veg (yuk!!!!)

Now that is sorted I can get back to studying for my NCLEX which I take on 5 th november - wish me luck....

That is good news. Bet you are glad that test is over! Hunker down for the NCLEX. Taking mine this coming Monday.

Good luck to both of you. It is so frustrating when "life" gets in the way of our goals. I believe that endurance is part of the "test" of being a nurse.
