By the time most of you will read this, I'll have taken the BOARDS. I feel like I don't know squat.

good luck I'm sure you will do great, let us know how it gos for you. did you do Valley review or R&R?
another year and I will be in the same hot seat
I am done, 90 questions, less than 1 hour start to finish. Some questions easy, many hard. The test shut off at the earliest point possible so I either did fine or tanked. hard to tell at this point. @ week or so wait for the results, what crap that is. The computer obviosly knows whether you passed or failed. I used Valley Review for review, pretty good way to review 28 months of material.

WntrMute2-- Don't sweat it. I am sure you did great. You have always shown a great deal of knowledge on this board. I hope once you are a CRNA you continue to visit this board and inspire others as you have done in the past. Congratulations on you accomplishments.

wintrmute2, good luck. Waiting one week for results! You should have been around when I took mine and had to wait for more than 6WEEKS for results. No computers. Sititting down in a very large arena with about 800 other nervous nellies. 5 sections on different areas of nursing over a TWO DAY period! Being watched over by a bunch of storm troopers, asking permission to go to the bathroom with an escort. Looking at all to one side or another meant the death node from a proctor, it did happen! So on top of taking your boards you had the added distraction of all this. I know you will do just fine, the test stopping early doesn''t mean you failed or passed, so you will have to wait that one nervous week for results. At least you don't have to go to the post office and get your letter and just stare at it wondering if you should open it or not. I fyou look at the past results of your program and know it had, lets say a 85% passing grade then you know you have a very good chance of passing. Just hang in there, don't operate any heavy machinery or take the weekend to clean guns or sharpen knives, don't do any roofing or anything that has to do with electricity. just chill and go have a stiff drink. let us know how you did. Mike: Count me among those who took boards the first week of July and waited until the 2nd week of Sept. to get the results.
Took mine in the Zembo Temple in Harrisburg, PA.
Got the results on Friday the 13th!

The computer knows only that your score was clearly above or clearly below 450 (plus the standard error of measurement) that's why it shut off. But it doesn't know if there were any irregularities in the administration or the taking of the exam. That is why a score is not released at the time of shut down. After review to determine no irregularities existed your score is released.
Just keep in mind the vast majority of candidates whose exam shut off at 90 questions pass the exam.:)
I would be interested is knowing how irregularities factored into this. What could possibly be irregular? Just curious?

When I took my boards, the computer shut down at 90. I KNEW I had flunked. I kept thinking about "all" the questions where I was unsure of the answer. I spent the next week sweating the results. I passed. You did too. Go have a drink.
