Hi everyone,
Some exciting news. I found out Friday afternoon that I was selected by the board, that sat in September. So my MOS 66H8A. My unit is the 801st Bravo in Indianapolis at Ft Benjamin Harrison. I am really excited, exceptionally grateful and very thankful for this amazing opportunity. The wealth of information you guys provide on here is amazing, thank you.
I was told from here my name has to be reviewed on a scroll by congress, then I should commission in a couple of weeks then in a few months have orders processed by HRC. Does this sound right to you guys? Also, I was told they calculated my time to grade as 3yrs, 6mo, 0d to grade. Just checking, does this means to next grade level? I was given 1LT.
Do you guys have any pointers?
Regards...

I assume this is for Reserves? Congrats!! Your rank sounds correct. I know active duty currently requires 48 months to CPT. I am not sure how the Reserves works with promotions, but it seems like it should be a short trip to CPT for you.
Awesome!!
I remember you now - I asked if you would consider active duty with all your qualifications. Congrats again!

The reserves are also at 48 months. Their CPT board meets in the spring and you might be eligible for it. Since you will have not gone to OBLC it would best for you if you are not since there is a good chance you would be passed over.
Hi LunahRN,
Yep it is for reserves. I would like to pursue active but various things are holding that back. However I am wrapped that I can do the reserves. Thanks for the congrats
